Konyak Union signs ‘Good Behaviour Bond’ with defaulters of Chenmoho Resolution

In a significant move towards community reconciliation, 21 individuals who violated the Chenmoho ENPO/KU Resolution by filing nominations for the 2024 Urban Local Body (ULB) elections have signed a “Good Behaviour Bond Undertaking” with the Konyak Union.

The signatories admitted to willfully violating the resolution and expressed deep regret for their actions, acknowledging that they had gone against the desires, aspirations, and collective pursuit of justice by the people of ENPO, particularly the Konyaks.

They apologized for their actions and the inconvenience and discord that may have been caused within the community by their actions.

“We, now understand the importance of unity and adherence to the collective decisions made for the greater good of our society,” they said, as per the bond MT received from Konyak Union.

Further, they solemnly promised to refrain from any actions in the future that violate the resolutions and collective decisions of the ENPO and the Konyak Union.

They also promised to support the cause and movement of the people to attain Frontier Nagaland Territory (FNT) status and work towards the fulfillment of this goal with utmost sincerity and dedication.

They also vowed to act as responsible and resolution-abiding citizens of ENPO and Konyak Union and also to promote unity, harmony, and the collective interests of our people in all our future endeavors.

They also acknowledged that any future violation of this undertaking might result in appropriate consequences as decided by the ENPO and the Konyak Union. They affirmed their commitment to this undertaking and pledged to work towards the betterment and unity of the ENPO and Konyak community.

The defaulters comprised nine individuals from Tizit, four from Aboi, and eight from Naginimora. This bond was officially signed on June 25, 2024.
