Konyak Union upholds August 26 resolution, issues directives on abstention from election

Mon, January 18 (MTNews): the Konyak Union, following an emergency meeting today at the Konyak Union Conference Hall resolved to reaffirm their stand on the August 26 resolution which calls for “abstention from the participation in the upcoming 2023 NLA election until the Government of India grant the demand of ENPO for a separate state.”

 

The union further resolved to “permanently expel those individual(s) filing nominations from the Konyak soil” and stated that “the village of the person(s) filing nominations shall be solely held responsible.”

 

The union also endorsed and empowered the Konyak Nyupu Sheko Khong (KNSK), Konyak Students’ Union (KSU) and the village councils to fully implement and act upon the resolution.
