Pre-poll violence was reported in Mangmetong at around 8 am on Monday, April 6, ahead of the upcoming by-election, sources said.
According to initial reports, vandalism during the violence left around 10 vehicles damaged, while windshields of several vehicles and other properties were also broken.

Security forces were deployed to the area, and the situation is currently under control with a heavy presence of the security forces.
Police are investigating the incident, and further details are awaited.
