The Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, Mokokchung, held a coordination meeting with all contesting candidates at the DC Conference Hall on Tuesday to discuss the enforcement of the silence period during the last 48 hours in connection with the upcoming 28-Koridang Assembly Constituency by-election.

According to an official report, the DC and DEO assured all candidates that necessary provisions and efforts are being made to ensure that the by-election is conducted in a free, fair, and peaceful manner. He also appealed to all candidates, their supporters, and the general public of the 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency to cooperate with the district election machinery and strictly abide by the provisions of the silence period and the Model Code of Conduct.
The meeting was attended by the Senior Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung, the Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officers, and all contesting candidates.
