With the tenure of the present Executive Council nearing expiry, the Kohima Press Club (KPC) has constituted an Election Commission to oversee the conduct of elections for a new team that will head the Press Club for the 2026–29 term.
The decision was taken in exercise of Article VIII of the KPC Constitution to ensure a free and fair election process.
According to a notification issued by the Club, the Election Commission will be headed by Chizokho Vero as Commissioner, while Dr Wapangsungla Longkumer and Atou Liezietsu will serve as Members.
The notification was jointly issued by KPC President Alice Yhoshü and General Secretary Vishü Rita Krocha.
