The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm at the Public Playground in Tamlu Town on Thursday. The event was attended by Küdecho Khamo, Advisor for CAWD and Taxes, as the special guest. Khamo began the proceedings by unfurling the National Flag, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem.
In his Independence Day speech, he reflected on the significance of the day and the progress of the nation, emphasizing the importance of unity and development. Following his address, Khamo took the Rashtriya Salute from six parade contingents, showcasing a disciplined and impressive march-past.
The celebrations also featured special performances from various local institutions, including Christian School Tamlu and St. Thomas School Tamlu Town. A cultural troupe from Tamlu Town added a traditional flair to the event with their vibrant performances, reflecting the rich heritage of the region.
In addition to the celebrations, MLA Khamo inaugurated several exhibition stalls that highlighted local crafts and innovations, providing a platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products.
