A one-day on-campus training programme on Natural Farming for farmers of Nangpong village under Tuensang district was successfully conducted on February 2, 2026, with the aim of promoting sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices and creating awareness among farmers.
The resource person, Samuel Sangtam, ACTO (Agro) from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tuensang, spoke on the use of organic inputs and highlighted the benefits that can be realised through the adoption of natural farming techniques for long-term agricultural sustainability and environmental conservation in the district. A practical demonstration on the formulation and preparation of Jeevamruth and Beejamrutha was conducted by Dr. Temjennungsang, ACTO (Animal Science), to help farmers understand the preparation methods and application of organic formulations.
A total of 65 farmers attended the programme. The session was chaired by Longmayanger, ACTO (Agricultural Extension), while the invocation was pronounced by Sipong Chang, Ex-Deacon of Nangpong village.
The programme was organised by Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Tuensang, and sponsored by MANAGE, Hyderabad, and SAMATI, Nagaland.
