Incessant rainfall triggered a massive landslide at Upper Penli Ward in Mokokchung, blocking the main thoroughfare of the ward and obstructing the main doorway of a house, leaving it on the verge of collapse.
The landslide occurred at House No. 20 in Penli Ward, where the accumulated debris has cut off access to the residence and posed a serious risk to its structural stability.
Officials from the District Administration, led by Neithozo, NCS, EAC Headquarters, inspected the site and assessed the situation.
They advised the affected household to seek immediate relief and assistance from the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), the competent authority for disaster-related support.
