The Department of English, Nagaland University, in collaboration with Cambridge University Press, organized a Teachers’ Training Workshop and Linguaskill Launch on February 24, 2025, for the teachers of affiliated colleges of Nagaland University and research scholars to promote the employability of graduates. The primary objective of the one-day workshop was to develop future-ready talent for crafting tomorrow’s leaders through communicative skills, prepare graduates for the global stage with strong communicative skills to meet employer expectations, and shape the future of campus placements with enhanced communicative English.
Experts from Cambridge University Press, Kolkata, Samir Prasad, Regional Manager, and Tillotama Mukherjee, ELT Expert, CUP, deliberated on the relevance of English language skills and the Linguaskill launch. Prof GT Thong, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Nagaland University, inaugurated the workshop. Forty teachers and scholars from different institutions in Nagaland actively participated in the workshop. Prof N Das, Head of the Department of English, Dr R Vasanthan, Associate Professor, and Ambar Chatterjee, Cambridge University Press Area Manager for Northeast India, coordinated the workshop.
