The Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has welcomed the signing of a 10-year interim Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Government of India and the Government of Nagaland concerning Eastern Nagaland.
In a statement, the party said it “wholeheartedly appreciates” both governments for taking what it described as an “important step” toward addressing the “long-standing aspirations, development needs, and administrative concerns” of the people of Eastern Nagaland.
The party extended congratulations to the two governments for their commitment to “dialogue, cooperation, and inclusive governance,” and expressed hope that the interim arrangement would “pave the way for lasting peace, equitable development, and a mutually agreeable long-term solution that upholds the dignity and aspirations of the people.”
LJP (RV) also highlighted that it has representation from Eastern Nagaland through MLA Naiba Konyak of the 55 Tobu Assembly Constituency, stating that his presence in the Assembly strengthens the voice of the people and reinforces the party’s commitment to the region’s welfare and progress.
