The LJP (RV) unit of Enhulumi village under the 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency in Phek district has resigned from the party and joined the Naga People’s Front (NPF) en masse.

A welcoming programme was held at Enhulumi village on August 11 in the presence of Power and Parliamentary Affairs Minister K.G. Kenye, who represents the 17th Chizami Assembly Constituency.

Addressing the gathering, Kenye said it was a happy occasion for the NPF, particularly for the 17th Chizami area unit, with the LJP (RV) unit of Enhulumi village joining the NPF en masse.

“Now we can confidently say that the NPF party enjoys absolute majority in Enhulumi village,” Kenye said, welcoming the members to the NPF family. He thanked them for reposing their faith in his leadership and called upon them to work together for progress and all-round development.

The minister, who is also Chief Whip of the NPF, expressed hope that more people and supporters would join the party in the coming days.

In his declaration speech, Wekhrolo Lohe, Advisor, LJP, said they would henceforth work with the NPF. Krolhipe Lohe, Unit President, LJP, said they had joined the NPF without any conditions and assured their support to strengthen the party.
