Kohima, 10 February (MTNews): The Lok Jan Shakti Party (Ram Vilas), Nagaland state unit has resolved to set up an official party candidate for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election in Nagaland. Working President and Chairman, State Parliamentary Board LJP (RV) Viloto Pukhato said the decision was taken during its meeting held today on the directive of the National Head Office to uphold the party ideology and its vision to the people of Nagaland.

The party said that with the confidence of the people of Nagaland, it would voice out the interest of the common Naga people.

It may be mentioned here that LJP (RV) fielded candidates in 15 seats in the last state assembly election out of which 2 candidates won from Pughoboto A/C represented by Dr. Sukhato A. Sema and Tobu A/C represented by Naiba Konyak. The party also finished second in 8 other seats and achieved ‘state party’ status in Nagaland with around 8.65% of total votes.
