Kohima, 10 April (MTNews): Campaigning for the lone seat in the 18th Lok Sabha from the state is gaining momentum.
In Jalukie town, a campaign rally was held for the PDA consensus candidate Dr Chumben Murry. Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and senior NDPP leader asserted that the electoral process makes a fundamental contribution to ethical governance. They appealed to all for participatory efforts in electing the PDA consensus candidate for the lone Lok Sabha seat.
Similar campaigns took place in Niuland. Minister for PHED & Cooperation and BJP party leader Jacob Zhimomi, speaking in support of the PDA candidate, underscored that, along with the rest of the state, the people of Niuland are all set to throw their collective weight behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s clarion call of “Abki Bar 400 Paar.”
Meanwhile, the Congress party said its campaign rally in support of their candidate S Supongmeren Jamir in the heart of Zunheboto district garnered massive support from the public.
