The long-awaited road upgradation of Pfutsero to Chillo via Razeba, a vital lifeline for Zhavame, Razeba, Zelome, Tsüpfüme, and neighbouring villages in Manipur, has been approved and sanctioned. Announcing this development in a press release, the National People’s Party (NPP) 17th Chizami A/C expressed appreciation to the Government of Nagaland’s efforts under the leadership of the Chief Minister for prioritizing the people of the area’s most pressing needs and understanding their sufferings.

“We’re grateful for his unwavering commitment to Nagaland’s development and prosperity, especially uplifting the less privileged,” it said.

The party also expressed gratitude to KG Kenye, Minister of Power and Parliamentary Affairs, and the local elected representative, whose personal intervention the party said helped secure approval and sanctioning of the Pfutsero-Chillo road.

The party also thanked Minister PWD (R&B) Kaito Aye, the Department of PWD (R&B) Nagaland, and the Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India. It also appreciation to the various individuals, groups, and organizations for their invaluable support in getting this project approved and sanctioned.

Upon completion, this road will significantly improve interstate connectivity, stimulate local economic growth, and enhance health, education, and tourism, ultimately elevating the wellbeing of our constituency and the state, it said.

“Additionally, Razeba’s esteemed Agri and Allied sector will experience substantial growth, and prominent tourist attractions like Majestic Kapamodzü will prosper,” it said.

Given that the PMGSY road project does not entail land or property damage compensation, the party requested landowners and the public to refrain from submitting claims and objections that could impede project progress.

“We encourage the land owners and residents of Razeba area to provide their wholehearted support and cooperation, enabling our shared vision to become a reality. We anticipate your active participation in contributing land and materials towards constructing a durable road that will serve future generations,” it said.

While assuring its fullest support and cooperation, the party also urged the implementing agency to ensure timely commencement, completion, and delivery of a top-notch road.

“Simultaneously, we expect unwavering commitment to quality and transparency,” it added, while stating that it would not tolerate any compromises that may jeopardize the project’s quality or hinder its progress.
