The Longkhim SDPDB meeting, chaired by SDPDB Chairman and Advisor for IT & Communication, Economics & Statistics, and Evolution, H. Sethrongkyu Sangtam, was held on 16th August 2024 at the EAC Office, Chare.

During the meeting, various departments, including the SDAO Longkhim, Medical SMO Longkhim, GHS Chare, and Shuzong School Chare, presented their grievances, such as lack of infrastructure and staff shortages. The chairman assured that he would make every effort to address these issues.

The United Sangtam Students Conference (USSC) also submitted a request for the immediate posting of an SDEO at Longkhim to the SDPDB.

Following extensive discussions, the board recommended and forwarded the following proposals to the concerned departments: construction of an SDAO Office and Rehabilitation Centre at Longkhim town, purchase of land for the extension of Longkhim town, creation of a Government Primary School at Ahotsi village, and allotment of grants to Shuzong School, Chare. Additionally, the board recommended the registration of the following societies: Khehtrum Farming Society at Chongtor village, Integrated Livelihood Society at Longkhim town, Eastern Livelihood Society at Longkhim town, and the opening of Saint Edmund’s School at Chongtor village.
