A one-day Mega Legal Services Camp cum Training & Capacity Program was organized by the Longleng District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with the Nagaland State Climate Change Cell, Nagaland Science and Technology Council, and the Department of Science and Technology, Government of Nagaland, at the ADC office premises in Tamlu Town today.


Kumdilong Kessen (NJS), CJM and Secretary LDLSA, delivered the welcome address, stating that this is the first Mega Legal Service Camp in Tamlu Town where various Government Departments have come together under one umbrella to provide services and benefits to the public. He also thanked the EAC Tamlu for their major contribution to the Mega Legal Services camp, rendering full cooperation and support.

Mopling Phom, EAC Tamlu, delivered a short speech, enlightening the public on the importance of knowing legal rights and available services. He mentioned that while the State and Central governments provide different schemes, many people are unaware of how to avail them. Phom encouraged the public to visit the stalls and avail themselves of the benefits of such schemes.

Later, the teams from the Nagaland State Climate Change Cell, Nagaland State Science & Technology Council, and the Department of Science & Technology, Government of Nagaland, took over the session, addressing issues of rising temperatures, with positive participation from the public in the training and capacity program. The team also distributed certificates to all participants.

Meanwhile, representatives from various departments such as Agriculture distributed seedlings and fertilizers, NST issued Free Bus Pass Forms for Senior Citizens and Disability, the Medical Department conducted free Hemoglobin A1C (HbA1c) tests, and Administration handled Aadhaar corrections and registrations.

Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services distributed pamphlets, while LDLSA provided free advice, counseling, affidavit declarations, and various forms of legal assistance including updates on the PM-Kissan scheme.

Through this Mega Legal Service Camp, over 100 beneficiaries were aided and benefited.

The Women Pastor of Tamlu invoked the gathering, and Panel Lawyer P Monyei Phom chaired the sessions, briefing the public on the services provided by LDLSA, including some success stories. PLVs Khatvang, Asangpongjei, and Manau assisted the public during the camp.
