The Longleng District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for the month of March 2026 was held at the DPDB Hall, Longleng on March 5 under the chairmanship of MLA and Chairman DPDB Longleng, A. Pongshi Phom.
The meeting commenced with a welcome address to the MLA and Chairman, DPDB Longleng, delivered by SDO (C) Longleng, Pukha Lam, on behalf of the DPDB Longleng.
In his address, MLA and Chairman DPDB Longleng, A. Pongshi Phom welcomed the members to the monthly meeting and emphasised the importance of being sincere and attentive during board deliberations.
Among the agendas discussed was the establishment of a Government Primary School (GPS) at Anaki (C), submitted by the Sr. DEO Longleng. The house approved the proposal and agreed to forward the matter to the higher authority. The house also discussed the adoption of the National Highways Act 1956 for land acquisition in respect of National Highway projects, focusing on the status, rights and protection of landowners under the Act.
Agriculture Officer Longleng, Chingsang Phom, on behalf of the District Agriculture Department, presented the department’s projects and schemes being implemented in the district through a PowerPoint presentation.
The chairman entrusted the Department of PWD (R&B) and Housing to make a presentation in the next DPDB meeting. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by the chairman.
