The Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Longleng Division, along with the rest of the world observed Global Handwashing Day on October 15, 2024, at Zion School in Yachem Village with teachers and students on the theme, “Why Are Clean Hands Still Important?”
District Coordinator of PHED, P Dauom Ngonyen, emphasized the importance of handwashing hygiene and its relation to health. Along with this message, the department distributed soaps to all participants to ensure clean hands. Thereafter, the participants were provided with light refreshment.
