Longtsukumba Ao won silver in the finals of the Global Association of Mixed Martial Arts (GAMMA) World championships held in Amsterdam, Netherlands. He fought against Mohammad Wasfi Ismael Eid (30) from Jordon in 65.8 kg elite MMA category.
Other Naga fighters included Arsenba Ozukum who competed in 56.8 kg striking MMA category and won bronze, Avizo Lanamai in the 70 kg elite MMA category, and Limasunep Imchen in 61.2 kg elite MMA category.
The fighters were trained at The Combat Academy, Dimapur, Nagaland. A total of 33 fighters represented India at the GAMMA World Championships 2021.
