Highlights of the exhibition include what is believed to be South Asia’s first-ever UV Mini Golf station, alongside an arcade game station featuring Gibbons: Beyond the Trees (2022), a platform game centered around gibbons, as well as other interactive displays designed to educate through a combination of play and wonder.

The event was inaugurated at 11 AM on September 21, following a ceremony at Été Coffee Roasters on Billy Graham Road, near Kohima College. The keynote address was delivered by Roderick Wijunamai, a research fellow at The Highland Institute. Following the launch, the exhibition has been open to the public with no booking required.

“Look Up” is more than just an exhibition; it’s an invitation to rediscover our connection with the sky and the natural world. We’ve curated this event to take you on a journey through the indigenous imagination, delving into the astrological systems, cosmology, and mythology of the Nagas,” said Akumtong Imchen in his welcoming speech.

The Highland Institute, established in 2013, serves as an independent research center focused on addressing socio-political, cultural, historical, environmental, and developmental issues affecting highland communities in Asia. For more information, visit The Highland Institute.
