The Commissioner of Police, Dimapur, has issued a lookout notice regarding Dimapur East Police Station Case No. 173/24 under sections U/S 140 (2), 140 (3), and 3 (5) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). This notice seeks information on two individuals suspected of kidnapping and abduction.
Section 140 (2) addresses kidnapping and abduction, penalizing anyone who unlawfully detains others while threatening harm. Section 140 (3) states that those guilty of kidnapping with the intent to cause wrongful confinement may face up to seven years in prison and fines. Section 130 (3)(5) clarifies that if multiple people are involved in a crime, each can be held responsible.
The individuals sought in the lookout notice are: Khevini T Yepthomi (50 years) – SS Kilonser, NSCN-K (Nikki) and Ilhovi @ Kimeyeto – accomplice of Khevini T Yepthomi, NSCN-K (Nikki).
A reward of Rs 50,000 (Fifty Thousand only) is offered for any information leading to the arrest of the suspects.
