The Lotha Youth Hoho (LYH), under the aegis of the Lotha Hoho, is set to organize a public rally on September 2, 2024, at 10:00 AM, starting from Police Point in Wokha Town. The rally is being organized in response to the brutal physical assault and attempted murder of Rhanlamo Kikon, Pastor of Yanpha Baptist Church, as well as to protest against the unabated illegal taxations, harassments, intimidation and death threat to common people.
The rally calls for a movement against any anti-social elements and all forms and contents.
The LYH has called on the general public of Wokha Town, along with representatives from each Village Council in Wokha District, Wokha Town Colony Council members, Eloe Hoho members, youth organizations, inter-denominational church organizations, the business community, and the student community in Wokha District to participate in the rally. Attendees have been requested to wear traditional attire as a symbol of solidarity. The LYH also requested travelers passing through Wokha Town to cooperate and bear with any inconvenience caused during the rally.
