Building on the success of their first-phase initiative in Noklak District, Kathyinla Jamir and Vitono Gugu Haralu have announced the expansion of the “Love in a Box Movement ” to Nagaland’s Green District, Peren. This heartfelt initiative aims to spread joy and support among communities through the simple act of sharing essentials and goodies while bringing a smile to a child’s face.

The “Love in a Box Movement” is a simple concept. Participants are encouraged to pack a box with items of their choice, which can include stationery, clothing, books, chocolates, sweets, toys, and more. To add a personal touch, senders also have the option to include details about themselves.

Children from age 4 to 14 can participate. The last date for contributions has been set at December 15, 2023.

Once the boxes are prepared, individuals can contact Kathy Jamir at +91 9862 888 353 or Gugu Haralu at +91 96122678999 via WhatsApp for further instructions and to coordinate the drop-off.

In Dimapur, there are designated drop-off points, which include Sisterhood Network at Central Apartment (Third Floor), Nagarjan Police Point, and House No. 224, YG Enclave, Chekiye Gate 2, Opposite Dimapur Airport Highway.

The “Love in a Box Movement” was designed with children in mind. It was never about depicting any form of social disparity; instead, the aim is to foster creative ways of making children understand the importance of emotional intelligence while encouraging them to look beyond classroom walls, as stated in its brochure.
