The Lhisemia Students’ Union (LSU) Autumn Sports 2025 began in Kohima on October 24 with events in badminton and table tennis.
According to a press release, the finals will take place on October 25 at 3 pm at L Khel Indoor Stadium. The matches will include boys’ singles and doubles, girls’ singles, and the table tennis boys’ singles final between Mhasivi Miachieo and Vilavotuo Linyü.
The 7-A-Side futsal tournament was held at Mez & Co Sports Arena with Mhasimhalie Mathew Yhome, President of the Kohima District Football Association, as the special guest. Group-A won the futsal championship and received cash prizes and certificates.
The final day of the event will feature basketball at Don Bosco Higher Secondary School Ground from 9 am, followed by the badminton and table tennis finals at L Khel Indoor Stadium at 3 pm. The Lhisemia Gazetted Officers’ Krotho will attend the closing ceremony as the guest of honour.
The event will conclude with a variety show featuring local artistes. LSU stated that the Autumn Sports aims to celebrate the weekend as a sports fest while nurturing the next generation of Lhisemia athletes.
