The Yaruiwo of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim (GPRN) has announced the promotion of Major General Honreishang Shadang, MSM, MC to the rank of Lieutenant General.
According to an order issued on October 29, the promotion was made under the Naga Army Rules and Regulations, Chapter VI, Article No. 63, in recognition of Shadang’s “loyalty, faithfulness, sincerity and efficiency in the service of the Naga nation building.”
The order further stated that in accordance with the Yehzabo Part III, Article 8(I), Clause (i), Lt. Gen. Honreishang Shadang, MSM, MC, has been designated as the new Longvibu (Commander-in-Chief) of the Naga Army. He will succeed General Anthony Ningkhan Shimray, MC, VC, who is scheduled to retire on November 29, 2025.
Lt. Gen. Shadang will formally assume office on the day of Shimray’s retirement.
The order was issued and signed by Q Tuccu, Yaruiwo of the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim.
