Mokokchung, October 6 (MTNews): The first quarterfinal match of the 12th Luke Sasong Memorial Volleyball Trophy 2022 between MH 10, Kohima and Evergreen Club, Ungma saw the former prevail by a score of 25-14, 25-12, winning two straight sets in the first quarter final match.
The Changtongya Volleyball Association ‘A’ defeated Shipu Sporting Club, Sungkomen in the second quarterfinal match, winning the first two sets 25-14, 25-18.
The third-quarter final game was played between Kumlong Sporting Association ‘A’ and Heracles. The Kumlong team dominated the game and easily won the match with a score of 25-11, 25-13.
Longkhum Students’ Union defeated Arikotong in the fourth quarter final match with a final score of 23-25, 22-25 after a fiercely competitive encounter in the last quarterfinal.
Both the semi-finals and the final match of the tournament will be played on October 7. While the semifinal will begin at 11:00 AM onwards, to be played in the ‘best of five’ format, the final match is scheduled to begin from 4:00 PM.
Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Sharingain Longkumer will be the guest of honour at the closing function.
