The Dr. Talimeren Ao Junior Girls’ National Football Championship 2025–26 (Tier 2) concluded in Chümoukedima, Nagaland, with Maharashtra claiming the title after a 4-1 win over Uttar Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh began the match aggressively, but Maharashtra opened the scoring in the 15th minute through Aysha. Uttar Pradesh equalized at the 25th minute via Divya. The second half saw Maharashtra take control with 54% possession, regaining the lead in the 56th minute when Aarna scored. Uttar Pradesh’s efforts were hindered by six offside calls.

Maharashtra extended their lead with goals from Sharvari in the 83rd minute and Ipshita in the 87th minute. Despite the scoreline, Uttar Pradesh tested Maharashtra’s goalkeeper Shivika Shetty multiple times, with Shetty earning the Golden Glove for her performances.

Punjab’s Joya won the Golden Boot for her 10 goals in the tournament, while Maharashtra’s Sharvari received the Golden Ball.
