Mahendra’s Education—India’s largest competitive exam institute with over 5 lakh selections—has partnered with the Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students’ Union (ENSSU) to provide specialized coaching and scholarships for aspiring candidates from the region.
The collaboration, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will focus on helping Sumi students in Eastern Nagaland prepare for examinations such as NPSC, NSSB, SSC, and Banking.
According to the agreement, ENSSU will play a key role in mobilizing students, organizing awareness campaigns, and conducting career guidance sessions across remote areas. Mahendra’s Education will provide experienced faculty and subject matter experts to deliver coaching through its Dimapur and Kohima branches.
One of the most notable features of the partnership is the scholarship initiative. Students referred through ENSSU will be eligible for up to 70% fee waiver, depending on the program. Those facing financial hardships may be granted full (100%) scholarships. The course duration and offerings are as follows: NPSC: 6 to 8 months; NSSB & SSC: 4 to 5 months; and Banking: 3 to 4 months.
The facilities provided includes: Full coverage of all tiers of the examination; Special focus on Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning; Live mock exams on Fridays and Saturdays in Smart Labs to compete at an all-India level; Computer classes for CPT and weekly Group Discussion sessions; Library access; and Lifetime validity till selection.
ENSSU officials emphasized the long-term goal of the partnership: to empower the Sumi youth in Eastern Nagaland with tools and guidance needed to secure government jobs.
To maintain transparency, Mahendra’s Education will provide monthly reports of admissions made through ENSSU. The MoU will be reviewed and renewed every three years to ensure it remains relevant and impactful.
