Mokokchung, August 26 (MTNews): With the understanding that the various welfare schemes initiated by the government will not be fruitful without active community support and participation, the Majakong Ward Yimden under Mokokchung town constructed a much needed Anganwadi Centre which was inaugurated on Friday with a dedicatory prayer offered by Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo Assoc. Pastor, Yanglu Pongen.
The Anganwadi Centre was inaugurated in presence of Ongpangkong (N) CDPO Chubatola, DPO Talisangla; Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) Medical Superintendent, Dr. Marina and Majakong Ward Yimden Secretary, Sashimeren.
The officials present expressed appreciation to the Majakong Ward Yimden for undertaking an exemplary initiative, saying that this is one of the very few Anganwadi Centres built exclusively through community participation.
It may be mentioned that the Anganwadi Centre was constructed through the contributions of the Majakong ward residents on a plot of land allotted by the IMDH authority.
