A career guidance program for the students of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya (Residential Hostel), Mangkolemba, was held on April 24, 2025, under the initiative of New Model College, Mangkolemba. The program, held under the theme ‘Exploring Career Possibilities’, began at 2:00 PM and was led by the college principal, Dr. Benjongkumba Aier, along with the full participation of the teaching faculty.
The resource persons for the event were Dr Benjongkumba Aier, Principal, NMC; Sentinangla Walling, Asstt. Professor (Economics); and M Rhondeno Yanthan, Asstt. Professor (History).
The event provided an interactive platform where students engaged in meaningful discussions with the college educators, gaining valuable insights into academic and career pathways. The program aimed to inspire and inform the students about opportunities in higher education and future career prospects.
According to the hostel management, this marks the first time a higher educational institution has conducted such an initiative for the residential hostel since its establishment, making it a milestone event in the institution’s journey.
Also present at the program were officials from the District Mission Authority (DMA), Samagra Shiksha Mokokchung, the Educational Block Resource Centre (EBRC) Mangkolemba, and the hostel staff.
