Speaking at the event, Director of Printing & Stationery, I. Moatemjen Jamir, said it was the Almighty’s blessing that he was promoted as Director and assured that he would give his best effort to serve the public and uplift the department during his tenure. He also expressed his gratitude to his family and well-wishers for their support.

Director of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services, Dr. B.M. Sunep, while sharing his career testimony, called upon the youth. He said we are living in a postmodern era where philosophy leads the world, not technology, and where we need to believe in ourselves, our abilities, and our capacities in studies and job performance. He advised them to seek God when faced with failure, misfortunes, or tragedies, as everyone is born with a purpose that needs to be understood. He also encouraged parents to allow their children to choose their field of study and career that will give them job satisfaction.

Advisor Imkong L. Imchen, in his exhortation speech, congratulated the two HoDs on their achievement and encouraged them to serve the public with utmost dedication. He recalled the schooling scenario in Mangmetong village during the Naga Political Struggle in 1955, where children were discouraged from attending school and even fined for doing so. However, with changing times from the 1960s, Mangmetong has produced many scholars, officers, bureaucrats, and HoDs—a legacy to be proud of.

He further urged citizens to know their duties and remember God’s purpose in their lives. He encouraged students to be sincere in their studies and parents to guide their children on the right path.

Pastor Toshi Imchen of the Nagaland Christian Revival Church, Ao Kohima, in his sermon, preached on building one’s foundation in God to uplift the nation and magnify His glory.

The programme was chaired by N. Meren Longchar, President of Mangmetong Senso Telongjen Kohima, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Timothy Imchen. The Mangmetonglar Telongjem Kohima also presented a song during the event.
