Manipur registered a 72 run victory over Mizoram to win the 4th NECDC Inter State Friendship Cup Men’s U19 2026 final at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Dimapur.
After being put in to bat, Manipur were bowled out for 233 in 49.5 overs. The innings was built around key contributions from Lucky Thockchom and Robinson Sougaijam. Thockchom scored 72 off 82 balls, while Sougaijam added 62 off 122 balls to provide stability through the middle overs.
For Mizoram, Henry Lallawmzuala was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 4 for 35 in 9.5 overs, helping restrict Manipur from pushing towards a bigger total.
In reply, Mizoram were bowled out for 161 in 43.1 overs while chasing 234. Lalramluahpuia Zote top scored with 62 off 59 balls and attempted to anchor the chase, but lacked support from the rest of the batting line up.
Manipur’s bowlers maintained control throughout the innings, sharing wickets at regular intervals. Yumnam Chingkheinganba returned 2 for 21, while Mutual Swabhiman Singh picked up 2 for 33 and Naeesh claimed 2 for 24.
Lucky Thockchom was named Player of the Match for his innings. The result secured the title for Manipur after a consistent all round performance in the final.
