The Maram Baptist Church Kohima celebrated its Silver Jubilee on Friday, September 27, at its church premises in Kohima under the theme “Proclaim His Greatness.”

Rev Zotuo Kiewhuo, Senior Pastor of Koinonia Baptist Church (KBC), was the speaker for the celebration service. In his message, he reminded the members not to forget the goodness of God, His mercies, and His favor upon mankind.

He called upon the congregation to look to Jesus and be prayerful Christians, rooted in Christ and His word. He emphasized that the Jubilee celebration should be one of breakthrough, deliverance, healing, and prosperity.

Rev Kiewhuo also pronounced Jubilee blessings upon the congregation.

Rev Lumtsuo Ezung, Executive Secretary of the Nagamese Baptist Church Association (NBCA), extended greetings to the church and reminded the members to reflect on God’s faithfulness and greatness. He also urged the church to introspect, emphasizing that MBCK should be significant in the hearts of the people, not merely a successful church.

Rev. Ezung stressed the shared responsibility of building the church and encouraged the congregation to be mature believers and witnesses of the Lord.

Earlier, Rev PK Jacob Pungnamei, Founder Pastor of Maram Baptist Church Kohima, dedicated the Silver Jubilee monolith and delivered the welcome address. He shared a brief history of Maram Baptist Church Kohima, which first began in the Sunday School room of Koinonia Baptist Church under the guidance of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, with a burden for soul-winning.

Rev Pungnamei recalled that the first service, which he led, was attended by 25 people, with Rev. Zotuo Kiewhuo as the speaker. The service continued for a year, and the church has since grown. He described the church as a new beginning and a new-generation church that God has led over the years, and he sought prayer support for its future.

The souvenir was released by Rev. Phomlee Van, Pastor of Kohima Phom Baptist Church and Advisor of Kohima Baptist Pastors Fellowship (KBPF).

The program was led by Dr Chingpai Lily. Special songs were presented by the Children’s Ministry MBCK, Maram Kohima, and the Jubilee Choir. Scripture readings were done by Akuba Vizo and Isaac Deacon. The vote of thanks was delivered by R Standhope, Church Secretary, MBCK.

During the occasion, an adoration prayer was offered by Zasivoto Rote, the offertory prayer by Sudhan, Deacon, and a prayer for the families of departed souls by Khi Peter, Pastor of Nagamese Baptist Church High School Area.
