A mass rally is set to take place in Ukhrul on April 2 to protest against the scrapping of the Free Movement Regime (FMR) and the proposed border fencing along the Indo-Myanmar border. The protest rally is organized by the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL) and various Tangkhul Naga frontal organizations under the aegis of the United Naga Council (UNC), Manipur.

The rally will commence at 10:00 AM at Dungrei Junction and Kharasom Junction, where participants will assemble before marching toward Ukhrul Headquarters. The march will be led by community leaders, with prayers being offered at both starting points by Rev. Joshua Zimik of Bumrei Baptist Church and Rev. Somi Kasomwoshi of Hunphun Baptist Church.

At the main public gathering in Ukhrul Headquarters, the program will begin with an opening prayer led by Rev. Nimlei Khamrang, Assistant Pastor (Youth) of UBC, followed by a welcome address from TNL President Qr. Sword Vashum. Several leaders, including MLAs Leishiyo Keishing, Ramnganing Muivah, and Khashim Vashum, will address the rally alongside representatives from the United Naga Council, Naga Hoho, the Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR Central), and the Global Naga Forum.

The event will conclude with the declaration of a memorandum.
