Mon, 14 October (MTNews): In a surprising turn of events, a mass resignation has struck the Naga People’s Front (NPF) party, specifically the 43 Assembly Constituency (AC) branch in Tapi, just ahead of the impending bye-election.
The resignation was officially communicated through a letter from the office bearers of the NPF 43 AC Tapi to the party’s leadership. The signatories expressed their decision to resign from the primary and active membership of the NPF, including office bearers, women’s wing, youth wing, advisory board, unit president, and all party members from 15 villages. This move takes effect as of October 14, 2023.
T Aman, who served as the President of 43 AC Tapi; Wanglem Konyak, an ex-candidate from the same constituency in the 2023 General Election; Manying, Secretary of 43 AC Tapi; Ngappen Konyak from the Women’s Wing, and Chatwang Konyak from the Youth Wing, were among those who appended the resignation letter.
