The Mokokchung Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has mourned the passing of Jethmal Panchariya (Sharma), son of Mohanlal Panchariya, a prominent member of Mokokchung’s business community. He was also a member of the MCCI Executive Council.
Born on 15 February 1952, the late businessman arrived in Mokokchung as a fourteen-year-old boy in 1966 and worked at Jagdish Store for eighteen years, from 1966 to 1984. He later worked at MPS Store from 1984 to 1987. In 1987, he established his own shop, JK Enterprise, on Imnameren Road, Mokokchung.
He passed away on 4 September 2024 following a cardiac arrest and is survived by his wife, son, and daughter. His last rites and cremation were performed in Mokokchung.
While conveying sincere condolences to the bereaved family, the MCCI prayed that the departed soul rest in peace.
