The Mokokchung College of Teacher Education (MCTE) held its 14th Induction Program for the new batch of freshers on August 19, 2025.
The program was chaired by Sayangpong Pongen, with an invocation led by Yashimongla. Neimou, speaking on behalf of the 3rd semester student teachers, delivered the welcome address where she stressed the importance of collaborative learning and wished the newcomers success in their academic journey.
This was followed by an introductory session where the freshers introduced themselves . Representing the first semester, Lentilong Jamir expressed gratitude to God and appreciation for the faculty and seniors for the warm welcome. He said he was delighted to be part of the MCTE family and looked forward to the journey ahead.
The exhortation was delivered by Dr K Rijingkhum Yimchunger, Assistant Professor at MCTE, who urged the students to support one another, explore their full potential, and not hold themselves back in their pursuit of growth.
The first session concluded with a thanksgiving prayer by P Tumong Khiamniungan. The second session featured vibrant performances by the 3rd semester student teachers, entertaining the audience and adding color to the day’s event.
