Titans CC defeated Trebuchet CC by five wickets in the day’s first match, while the second match between Tritons CC and Sovran CC was abandoned due to rain. With the loss, Trebuchet CC were eliminated from the competition and Titans will face defending champions United Brothers in the final on Saturday.
Trebuchet would have qualified for the final with a win, but United Brothers, who also finished with four points, advanced on a superior run rate. Manen, with his hat trick, and Moatemsu dismantled the Trebuchet top order, from which they never recovered, letting a place in the final slip from their hands.
