The fourth quarter final encounter between Telongjem FC and OCYU saw another lopsided match as the defending champions and title favourites capitalized on their experience and physical advantage to dominate the young inexperienced OCYU side. Telongjem FC hammered in 6 goals to demonstrate their superiority while OCYU failed to trouble the Telongjem custodian, let alone find the back of the net.
Telongjem marquee winger Kakhevi Assumi broke the ice in the 25th minute with a perfectly timed volley from inside the box and scored again just three minutes later, securing a perfect deal for the side early on.
Suponglemba went on to score in the 33rd and 44th minutes, giving his side plenty of breathing room as a 4-0 lead left little chance for an OCYU comeback. Sentilong went on to deliver the knockout blows for the team, scoring a brace in the 73rd and 80th minutes.
Telongjem FC effectively dominated the OCYU side throughout the whole 90-minute contest as the squad went on to win the game 6-0.
With the victory, championship contenders Telongjem FC will now play Mongsenbai FC in the tournament’s semi-finals, while Moanungsang Memorial Sporting Club will face Longpa Lomuden FC.
