MDFA Trophy 2022: Match Day 4 Update

Longpa Lomudem FC defeated Marepkong Youth Association in a lackluster encounter in the first match of the day with a solitary goal.

Lanusunep broke the deadlock in the fifth minute of the game which remained the lone goal to have been scored at the end of the match, enough to give them the points to proceed to the next round. Marepkong were unable to find the equalizer as a series of offensive gaffes forced them to settle for 0 points and finish at bottom of their group, and thus out of the tournament. Longpa Lomudem FC will face Mongsenbai in their next playoff to decide who stays on top of the table.

Moanungsang Memorial Sports Clubs victorious over O.C.Y.U

Moanungsang Memorial Sports Clubs won a thrilling match contest between seasoned teams, defeating O.C.Y.U by one goal to none.

Dominating the game from the start, the Moanungsang forward repeatedly tested goalkeeper Tiasunep, a busy custodian. Tiasunep went on to save a spot kick, but in the 55th minute of the game, Moanungsang’s defensive back Molutsupong gave his side the lead that would seal the deal. Moanungsang Memorial Sports Club has two wins and a confirmed quarter final berth, while OCYU’s next match against Youngsters Team will determine who advances to the quarter finals.
