Telongjem FC put up a commanding performance, dominating every inch of the pitch against Super Seniors FC on day-2 of the ongoing MDFA Trophy at Imkongmeren Sportts Complex. So complete was their control that their defenders were often seen pushing up into midfield, keeping the pressure on throughout the game.
Singdoulien Khongshai was the star of the show, striking twice in quick succession – first in the 17th minute and again in the 30th – to put Telongjem firmly in the driver’s seat. Tarepnüngsang added another just four minutes later, rounding off a ruthless first-half display in the Pool B encounter.
At the back, Telongjem’s defensive trio of Nasetchingmak Chang, Vitoho Kiho and Bongcheli M Mongzar barely put a foot wrong. Bongche, in particular, stood out with a terrific performance, breaking down attacks and launching forward plays with ease.

Super Senior FC, composed mostly of players aged 35 and above, struggled to match the pace and intensity but impressed with their passion and perseverance. Despite the odds, they played with heart, relying on long balls and experience to create moments, even if they rarely troubled Telongjem’s backline. Their presence on the field was a reminder that love for the game doesn’t fade with age.
