The Mokokchung District Martial Art Association (MDMAA) organized a cleanliness drive at Imkongmeren Sports Complex and planted tree saplings on Monday, 23 October.
The social work, conducted on the theme ‘defend our body against disease by keeping our surroundings clean’ was held to convey a message to the people about keeping our surroundings clean and hygienic and also to present a clean image of the town as the festive season is fast approaching, MDMAA said in a press release.
Around thirty MDMAA officials and representatives from affiliated Associations participated in the social work. The MDMAA is the parent organization with nine combat sports associations of different disciplines affiliated with it.
The MDMAA has appreciated all the members who participated in the social works and also encouraged the general public to keep the town clean as the people eagerly await the coming of the wedding and Christmas season.
