Representatives from leading media houses gathered on February 27, 2026, at the residence of Geoffrey Yaden, Editor of Nagaland Post, to revive the Nagaland Press Association (NPA) and address challenges facing the state’s media community.
Participants from Nagaland Post, Tir Yimyim, Eastern Mirror, and The Morung Express discussed the urgent need for a unified platform to ensure clarity on government policies affecting journalists and media establishments.
The meeting concluded with the formation of an Interim Body to oversee the revival process.
The appointed office bearers are:
• Convenor: Aochuba Yaden
• Co-Convenor: Raymond Ronamai
• Secretary: Akangjungla
The Interim Body will compile a list of working and non-working journalists across Nagaland and is tasked with convening a general meeting by the end of March 2026 to formalize the NPA’s structure and future plans.
