A crucial meeting between the Department of Technical Education, Nagaland, and the All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) is set to take place on March 17, 2025, at 11:00 AM in the conference hall of the Directorate of Technical Education, Kohima. The meeting will deliberate on the introduction of a Civil Engineering Degree program at Khelhoshe Polytechnic Atoizu (KPA) as per Cabinet Memorandum No.CAB-2/2003, dated December 18, 2007.

The Director of Technical Education, Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu, has extended invitations to key stakeholders, including the Hon’ble Deputy Speaker of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, urging their presence in the discussion.

The introduction of a Civil Engineering Degree at KPA has been a long-standing demand, with SKK advocating for its implementation in line with the cabinet memorandum. The upcoming meeting is expected to address concerns regarding infrastructure, faculty recruitment, and other necessary provisions for the program’s feasibility.
