The Governor of Nagaland has officially announced the upgradation of Meluri Sub-Division to a full-fledged District with immediate effect. The jurisdiction of the new district shall comprise the existing Meluri Sub-Division under Phek District, Nagaland.
This was issued in pursuance of the approval of the Cabinet conveyed vide letter dated 1st November, 2024.
