The 27 Mokokchung Town Assembly Constituency celebrated Tsüngremmung festival hosted by Nagaland Rural Development Minister Metsubo Jamir which was attended by people from all walks of life at the Multi-Sports Complex, Mokokchung on August 2.
Minister RD Metsubo Jamir is the incumbent legislator from 27 Mokokchung Town A/C. In his address, he urged the Ward authority leaders to have the humility to accept criticism and to become humbler as they discharge their duties and responsibilities to the people they serve. He further encouraged them to provide their best service to the people.
The minister also said that the festival was hosted to share the blessings and grace his family received from God and challenged people to put God first.
Short speeches were also delivered by Aongza Ward, Kichutip Ward, Salangtem Ward, Mongsenbai Ward, Kumlong Ward and others. The celebration was marked by a tug-of-war competition for both men and women followed by a community feast.
