Mokokchung, 30 March (MTNews): Minister of Rural Development & SIRD, Metsubo Jamir thanked the electorates for having faith in his leadership and electing him once again.
Speaking at his thanksgiving program at his residence in Sangtemla Ward on Thursday, Metsubo also shared his visions for uplifting the Aos in general and further asserted that he as an elected member would not be biased but work for the development of all.
He went on to say that 6 out of the 7 NDPP candidates in Mokokchung District were elected while another one from the Ao community was elected from Dimapur district holding the NDPP ticket which he said showed the people’s support for the CM Rio led Government.
Regarding the ULB election, Mestubo said that CM Rio thinking about the people of the state has repealed the Nagaland Municipal Act and further stated that the people of the state have chosen their leaders and that they won’t go against the will of the people.
Earlier, short speeches were delivered by Central NDPP, President, NDPP Mokokchung Region, President, BJP Mokokchung District, President, 27 AC Woman Organization, President, 27 AC Youth Organization, on behalf of 5 Ward Yimden, on behalf of 5 Office Units, 27 NDPP A/C, Ungma Village Council, Mokokchung Longsa Senso Telongjem, Sangtemla Yimden and C Tia Longkumer, President, NDPP 27 Mokokchung Town AC.
Tiayanger Jamir, Longsa Home Evangelist delivered the invocation and Rev. Temsuwati Kichu, Asso. Pastor, Mokokchung Town Baptist Arogo delivered the Prayer of Blessing.
