Game Week 4 of the Mokokchung Friday League for 35+ players witnessed Revenant FC, Terokroker FC and Wasang FC register wins at the Imkongmeren Sports Complex on Friday.
In the first match of the day played between Revenant FC and Aturar FC saw the former secure a 4-2 win. Aturar’s Zachamo broke the deadlock in the 11th minute; however, the lead was short lived as veteran R. Achi’s equalizer in the 19th minute meant that the teams had to compete on level terms. Aturars’s Moatemsu found the net in the 32th minute of the game which was yet again equalized by Revenant FC’s Chubangangnen.
Revenant’s R. Achi and Moakaba went on to score a goal each in the 50th and 57th minutes marking the victory after Aturar FC failed to retain the lead on two occasions. Nokchashilu from Aturar FC was presented the man of the match title.
Terokroker FC in the second match of the day triumphed over New Ecclesia as the side went on to score 3 goals to none. Terokroker’s Semyanger, Takalong and Susang took the limelight as the side went on to dominate the game scoring a goal each in the 25th , 52th and 53th minutes respectively. New Ecclesia with a lackluster performance today moved down to the 5th place in the six team league table with Aturar FC in the bottom. Zululemba of Terokroker FC was presented the man of the match title.
The third and final match of the day witnessed Wasang FC, formerly known as Royal Enfield Mokokchung, come out on top against a strong Senso Sporting Club side with 2 goals to none. Wasang’s Imkongwati and Imliwapang’s contribution of a goal each in the 34th and 42nd minutes of the game assured an easy win moving them up in the table to 4th place while Senso Sporting Club remained at 2nd place. Imkongwati of Wasang FC was presented the man of the match title.
