Mokokchung, November 25 (MTNews): Game week 8 of the Mokokchung Friday League for 35+ Players witnessed Revenant FC and New Ecclesia FC register wins while Senso Sporting Club and Wasang FC share points at the Assam Rifle Ground Mokokchung on Friday.
The first match of the day saw Revenant FC dominate against Aturar FC, with the former scoring four times past the goalie. Chubangangnen of the Revenants went on to score a hattrick, scoring in the 28th, 42nd, and 46th minutes of the game, while R. Achi scraped one more goal off the Aturar side in the 57th minute, ending the match 4-0.
Senso Sporting Club and Wasang FC settled for a point each in the second match of the day, which concluded 2-2. Wasangs’ Chubayanger in the 22nd minute of the game managed to score past the Senso goalie although the side started with only eight men owing to player absences. Wasangs’ Imnayanger scored again four minutes later, but Senso SC equalised in the 30th minute of the game with Tsupongtsuba converting a penalty. The second half saw Wasang FC enter the field with a complete set of players and dominate the game, but were stunned when Tsupongtsuba converted yet another penalty in the 60th minute of the game, thereby ending the match with a 2-2 tie.
The third and final match of the day saw yet another Terokroker side entering the field with 8 players against New Ecclesia with a full squad. Capitalizing on the opportunity at hand, New Ecclesia managed to pull off 6 goals off the Terokroker side. Pangertemsu (7’,11’), Imnanukshi (45’,59’) and Arishilu (55’,56’) went on to score braces as the side demolished the Terokroker side.
