MGM College hosted global traveller and Guinness World Record holder Benny Prasad at its auditorium on Wednesday, February 18, drawing enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members and staff.

The programme was chaired by Vikeduonuo Zumvu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Commerce, while the invocation prayer was led by Temjen Longkumer from the Department of Education. Dr R K Behera, Principal of MGM College, delivered the welcome address and underlined the importance of exposing students to inspirational personalities.
In his address, Prasad shared his life journey shaped by faith, discipline and perseverance, encouraging students to pursue ambitious goals while remaining grounded in strong values. He highlighted education as a powerful tool for positive social change and urged young people to strive for excellence with humility and purpose.
Prasad also spoke about his Guinness World Record, officially recognised by Guinness World Records, for being the fastest person to visit all 245 countries and territories. He reflected on the challenges of global travel and the lessons learned from engaging with diverse cultures.
The programme featured a musical performance by Prasad, followed by a special prayer, bringing the event to a close. College authorities said the visit reinforced MGM College’s commitment to holistic education that nurtures both intellectual growth and character development.
